HOW DO I USE THE SEARCH ENGINE?Once you log onto this site, you will find a search box in the upper-right hand corner of most of the site's pages. To search for articles containing a particular word, just type the word into the search box and either hit the enter key or click the GO button.
To help you get more out of the search engine, we've included some tips below:
The archives feature unlimited access with an Elite subscription.
The search engine will display up to 1000 results. If there are more than 1000 articles matching your search, you will see headlines for the 1000 most relevant articles.
The results that best match your search will appear first. For example, many occurrences of a word are considered more relevant than just one. If the word is higher on the page, it is considered more relevant, and it is considered highly relevant if it appears in the article's title. When two articles are equally relevant, the more recent will appear first.
Capitalization doesn't matter. For example: BOND, boNd, and bond will all produce the same results.
The search engine ignores common words, such as the and all, and individual letters and numbers.
If you enter more than one keyword, the search engine will only find results containing all of these words. To search for exact phrases or for articles that contain one word OR another, select Advanced Search.
The Advanced Search page can be reached via the Advanced Search button on the search box or via the link on the search results page. The Advanced Search Engine offers the following additional options:
Search method (any words, all words, exact phrase)
Order results by relevance or by date.
Find only articles published during a given period.
